Our class is designed for drivers of all ages. Whether you are new or just wanted to expand your DIY skills in your own garage, or ours. This is the class for you. Learn basic safety, how to change a tire, change your own oil or just simply know how to see if a big brand is ripping you off. Spot leaks and worn out suspension parts with guidance and confidence today!
What's covered in the class
✓ Safety Clothing, Parking brake, eye protection and hair
✓ Under the hood and vehicle inspection with explanation of different engine parts as well as suspension overview and normal wear and tear components. Exhaust overview + identifying o2 sensors.
✓ Changing a tire Learn the jack point location for your car, jack kit location in your vehicle, tool overview and properly changing your tire safely. Checking DOT date codes for tire age.
✓ Fluids Proper coolant, Power Steering, oil, transmission, transaxle, transfer case, differential, identify any leaks.
✓ Oil Change! Yes, Included in this class we will also assist you in the process for changing your own oil. You must bring your own oil and filter (we handle the old oil being recycled). We also suggest engine and cabin air filters as well as a new crush washer for the oil pan drain bolt. Wiper arms are always a plus as well!
✓ Grease How to check for grease fittings and when/how to grease.
